About

Doctoral student at the University of Manchester, funded by the Centre for the Advanced Study of the Arab World (CASAW).

Interested in religion and politics in modern Lebanon, and debates over "sectarianism".  Much of my work so far has focused on the institutions of the Maronite Church, but my current doctoral research compares the roles of the Maronite Patriarch with the Mufti of the Republic during the civil war period.

Religion Editor of New Middle Eastern Studies, a peer-review journal for young researchers published under the auspices of the British Society for Middle Eastern Studies (BRISMES).
