About

I'm currently a graduate student at the University of Manchester, completing my MA in International Politics specifically focusing on global political economy.

I am interested in globalisation and the global political economy, and more specifically in the evolution of global economic governance and how the structure of the current international system may be best understood from a political economy lens through the analysis of the changing nature and form of globalization along with the rise of new forms of global politics. I am fascinated by questions such as why states delegate various economic tasks to international institutions and even to multinational corporations. I am also concerned with the relationship between the current state of capitalism and development, especially the prospects for development of rising powers under conditions of capitalism, globalization, and international crises, as well as the challenges posed by new rising powers. By studying a variety of different institutions in the global economy I intend on examining how changes in international organizations and the international policy framework level affect developing countries foreign as well as domestic economic trajectories and what their national level strategies for interactions within the global economy entail or may necessitate in the future through an emphasis on the inseparability of economics and politics.
