About
Stuart is interested in historical materialist approaches to international relations and particularly Gramscian international political economy and the Amsterdam School fractions of capital perspective.
His research has focused on transnational dimensions of the restoration of capitalism in Central and Eastern Europe following the collapse of the USSR. His current work is on a comparative political economy of regional development banks, resistance to the promotion of global competitiveness, and the political economy of the wine sector in Eastern Europe.
